This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on www.yukitec.com, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly and to provide analytical information to website owners.
Cookies may be:
- First-party: set directly by the website you are visiting (Yukitec)
- Third-party: set by an external service embedded in the website (e.g. Google Analytics)
- Session cookies: automatically deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies: remain on your device for a defined period, or until manually deleted
In addition to cookies, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage for certain measurement functions. These technologies are subject to the same consent requirements as analytics cookies.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to operate. They cannot be disabled and do not require your consent under the ePrivacy Directive and the Garante's 2021 Cookie Guidelines.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Records your consent decision and the policy version at time of consent | 1st party | 12 months | Yukitec |
| cookie_consent_version | Stores the Cookie Policy version number you accepted | 1st party | 12 months | Yukitec |
2.2 Analytics Cookies (Require Your Consent)
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website. Data is collected in anonymised, aggregated form. These cookies are only placed after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Assigns a unique ID to track website usage statistics across sessions | 3rd party | 2 years | Google LLC |
| _ga_XXXXXXXX | Maintains GA4 session state for the specific measurement ID | 3rd party | 2 years | Google LLC |
| _gid | Assigns a daily unique ID to generate website usage statistics | 3rd party | 24 hours | Google LLC |
| _gat | Rate-limits requests sent to Google Analytics servers | 3rd party | 1 minute | Google LLC |
IP anonymisation is enabled in GA4 — your full IP address is never transmitted to or stored by Google. Data is sent to Google LLC in the USA under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by EU Commission Decision 2021/914.
2.3 What We Do NOT Use
We confirm we do not use:
- Advertising, targeting, or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking cookies
- Behavioural profiling or cross-site tracking cookies
- Fingerprinting or other non-cookie tracking technologies for profiling
3. Do Not Track (DNT)
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Our website does not currently respond to DNT signals, as no uniform industry standard exists. You can achieve equivalent control through our cookie consent banner.
4. Managing Your Preferences
4.1 Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit our website, a banner will appear allowing you to:
- Accept analytics cookies — GA4 activates with full measurement
- Reject optional cookies — only strictly necessary cookies are placed
- Close the banner via the 'X' button — equivalent to rejecting optional cookies; no analytics cookies are set
- Change your choice at any time via the 'Cookie Settings' link in our website footer
Per the Garante's 2021 Guidelines: both 'Accept' and 'Reject' options are visually equal. Scrolling or continuing to browse without making a choice does NOT constitute valid consent. The banner will not re-appear until either (a) 6 months have passed, (b) you clear your cookies, or (c) we materially update this Policy.
4.2 Browser Settings
You can block or delete cookies through your browser:
- Google Chrome: Settings › Privacy and Security › Cookies
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences › Privacy › Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings › Cookies and Site Permissions
4.3 Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-on
To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, install Google's browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
5. Consent Records
We record your consent decision, including:
- The choice made (accept or reject)
- Date and time of the decision
- Cookie Policy version in force at the time
This record is stored in your browser for 12 months. A new consent request is triggered if: (a) 6 months have passed since the last decision, (b) you delete your cookies, or (c) this Policy is materially updated.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. We will update the version number and effective date. If changes are material, the consent banner will reappear to collect a fresh decision.
